Personality:

Nettlepaw was always thought to be logical, stay calm no matter what, (and while indirectly) to push down her emotions. She was supposed to become the best warrior in the clan according to her mother, who she did have a good relationship with. But while Nettlepaw has always loved learning and developing new skills, she is also a very affectionate person. If she was to be born in a different clan, where emotions would be seen as more normal, she would probably hug and nuzzle others much more often, but due to having the unfortunate fate of ending up in Shadowclan, (with the added issues of being halfclan) she did her best to conform to the Shadowclan norm, she laughed when she was one-on-one with one, and smiled every day, but crying, being as affectionate as she wished she could be, wasn't something she did.

While she has morals, they have changed as she grew up within Shadowclan. She doesn't like lying, being mean for the sake of it, or doing genetically 'evil' things. Tho she doesn't see murder as something that is bad, to her it's like hunting and killing animals for food, or picking plants and killing them to use as medicine, killing cats for another type of survival, being strong, is just like that. Her morals maybe aren't like the ones of cats of other clans, but she is by no means evil. She enjoys being affectionate with others, talking with them, and generally socializing, she was simply raised in a different way.

Backstory:

1 moon: Nettlekit was born to a Shadowclan queen named Darkmoth, and her mate Stormrunner, a former Thunderclanner so had moved to Shadowclan to be with her after he had gotten the news that she was expecting his kits. Nettlekit was never proud of her mixed blood since many cats around her shot glares full of hate towards her. In their minds she didn't belong, only wasting their time, food, and space, like her father who was hunting or patrolling almost none-stop to prove he could be of use.

2 moons: Her father and she had never become close due to the little time they ever got together, and this gap was only widened as her mother got enough of everyone talking crap about them, so she made the choice to shape her oldest kit to be the best warrior she ever could. Day in and day out the two could be found in some part of the outer clearing, Duskmoth training Nettlekit in a bunch of different moves and techniques. And it soon began to dawn on Nettlekit how important of a skill everyone saw battling and fighting.

3-5 moons: Life had gotten a more and more routine-like feeling to it, every day passing win the same way. She'd wake up and groom her fur in preparation for the day, then go outside early in the morning, when new still covered the ground, and train with her mother in stalking and other hunting movest, when many were still asleep and it was easier to notice mistakes and fix them. Then they'd rest and talk about current clan events, battles, and so on. And as the sun reached its highest point the rest of the day in what Shadowclanners took the most pride in, battling and battle moves. Duskmoth also taught her things one might not always consider important, or think of, things like reading body language, recognizing birds by their calls and feathers, and even told her about Dawnstar and the other high ranks, and clans.

6 moons: But all that, all the calmness and security in routine were about to take a huge turn. Since Nettlekit no longer needed milk at all, Duskmoth ha moved out of the nursery and back into the warriors' den, and everything seemed fine, until a patrol she had been sent on was due, but none of the cats who had been on it returned, including Duskmoth. Nettlekit couldn't wrap her head around where they had gone. With his mate gone, Stormrunner no longer saw a point in staying in a clan he hated, but wasn't let back into his old clan, and left to become a rouge. Nettlekit felt troubled by all this, but life wouldn't stop and she was quickly trusted into a new part of her life as Dawnstar called her apprentice ceremony. Her first mentor was Crimsonflame, who to her seemed rather aloof, and after having a very short training session she barely learned from, he disappeared.

7 moons: Owlfeather, Nettlepaw's aunt and the apprentice had slowly begun to train together, and after a rule Dawnstar made that a cat could not go outside without company, Nettlepaw became the cat Owlfeather always dragged with her as said required company, causing them to be near each other much more often, eventually becoming a habit for Owlfeather to seak out Nettlepaw whenever she needed a hunting partner or help with some task. One day a fellow apprentice, Pigeonpaw approached Nettlepaw when she was skinning a mouse, like Owlfeather had shown her a few days before. The two apprentices had a pleasant chat, and Nettlepaw found herself quite enjoying the time. Pigeonpaw then brought forth what she had come to do, a plan to recruit Nettlepaw for a little project she had in mind, involving sneaking out and proving themselves by hunting down some of the twolegs that had hunted in the forest the past weeks, and while Nettlepaw refused, she could not bring herself not to promise to keep quiet about the plan when Pigeonpaw so asked. It conflicted with her inner morals to just let someone she had began to almost call a friend go on a stupid plan that would most likely get them hurt, but she had promised.
